Spread your Wings Celebrate the queen 👸 in you!!

Updated: Oct 22, 2023

International Women’s Day is celebrated globally on March 8th. Well to get back to a little this day occurred over a century, the first ever IWD gathering in 1911.

Gloria Steinem, world renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.”

Its a day to mark and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. What colour signifies IWD ?

Well it’s not pink. Internationally, purple is a colour for symbolising women. Historically based in UK a combination of purple, green and white symbolises women’s equality. Purple signifies justice and dignity. Green symbolises hope. White represents purity but now white is no longer used as it’s a controversial concept.

2020 and beyond-

The world has significantly witnessed a lot of changes and we will look for a global improvement in every field and in every aspect of life.May all the battles she fights be won!! Let the world welcome her, let her do her real choices, and let us celebrate her each and every day!! So let’s make a difference, think globally let each girl, woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother be blessed the utmost with love, kindness and all respects. Let her spread her wings, let her fly for she is an inspiration. Let her inspire, empower, connect and achieve and ignite your own mind. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding. Make everyday International Women’s Day. Much love 💕
