On the Deccan Plateau, towards the Western Ghats of Karnataka State is Bangalore, which is officially now Bengaluru. The then Mysore State on whole, ruled by the renowned rulers of Vijayanagar Dynasty, The Woedeyar Kings, King Ashoka has created History to our place.
From Hyder Ali to Woedeyar, from Vijayanagara to Tipu Sultan and Kempe Gowda - The founder of Bengaluru. During the early years it was ruled by kings, where Mysore was the only state after the which the division of state formed Bangalore with the rivals. The founder of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda named the table top land as Bendakaluru, meaning the land of boiled beans, which was then one of the staple food those years. The kingdom rule came to an end when The Government of Karnataka took over and renamed this place as Bangalore, and along its way soon was the modernization of our lovely green city..... Welcoming people from all around the world, and currently a home to more than 8 million people is Namma Bengaluru.
As I have shared a short summary about how Bangalore came into exsistance, I would like to share my penned down poem about this very place Bangalore, my home town, my identity.
This bustling city, is bounded by memories to recall,
here lies its majestic heritage with grace.
The nostalgia of this place,
has mesmerised one and all,
with its cheerfulness, warmth and friendliness.
Oh! Must say the weather and atmosphere here is
sure to bring a smile on your face.
This Silicon Valley is the home for many IT hubs,
Welcoming creativity and innovations endlessly.
Though traffic here drills one's mind, and pollution
around puts you down, as our city is widening each day
for everyone around the world.
This city is sure to give you much love,
So go around and pep up your soul
with some masala dosa's, idly dip's, bisibelle bath or chow chow bath...
The famous delicacies that one must taste,
never miss to sip in some hot filter kappi, and the melting mysore pak for your sweet tooth.
For Kannadigas have a lot more to offer you,
The MTR, Koshy's and Adigas
are the favourite dine outs for many since years.
Though the official language of state is kannada,
and if you are new to this city never panic about the language,
you just got to say ' kannada gothila' and
see what happens, this multilingual city will surely guide you well,
with people around speaking more than one language.
Your sure to speak kannada soon and u'll love it!!
